  • Learning outcomes:

    Students will be introduced to the basic principles of the mathematical modeling of infectious disease transmission and the design of simple epidemic models. At the end of the course, they will be understand the basics of epidemic behavior and critically analyze studies in infectious disease transmission dynamics.

    Content:

    This is an intensive course in infectious disease epidemiology and transmission dynamics focusing infections of global health importance including diseases of childhood (measles, chickenpox, rubella); malaria, sexually transmitted diseases, tuberculosis, HIV.
